Essential Skills is a publicly available program that provides benchmark identification of what skill level is required to successfully meet the needs of any job in any organization. The framework is based upon the principle that the skills required to be successful in any job can be classified and assessed under the 9 Essential Skills: Reading Text, Document Use, Numeracy, Writing, Oral Communication, Working with Others, Continuous Learning, Thinking Skills, Computer Use. This interactive workshop will provide an overview of the tools, approaches and materials available to all within this robust program.
